God knows what He's doing

The study went well on Thursday. We did have a couple of technical problems that we had to work through, but overall, it was a success. We received some great positive feedback from the ladies, so it appears that they enjoyed the time as well. God was definitely working that night. We know He spent some time on one particular daughter. He used Beth and our plans with the study to encourage her to continue scripture memorization. It was so touching when she stood up to say what God had placed on her heart. Then when she recited some verses from Ephesians, it sent chills through me- there is NOTHING like hearing the Word of God being spoken from someone who believes it to be the Truth that it is and believes that it's still very much alive. I don't know the breadth of the impact that our first session had on the ladies, but God has revealed to us one that He did reach. I can't wait to see what he does next. Though our group will only be meeting once a month, we are gathering on a blog between sessions to communicate, so it may be less than a month before we see what He's up to. :)

On another note, I have had such a crazy week! Between the events with the Busy Women's Bible Study, yoga, and a weekend conference that I was planning on attending, I've only been home one evening this week to say hello to the hubbs (I do a fantastic job of over scheduling myself). Thankfully, God knows what he's doing and he knows how to get me to slow down when I don't know how. I was looking forward to attending this weekend's conference with my best bud Mindy, but the weather has gotten in our way (thanks, Abba). Since last nights events were cancelled and today's have been delayed, M and I decided that it would be best if we take some time for our families. So, John and I will be spending some quality time together (with Sarge, of course, can't leave out our little fur-child). We currently have no plans; which at this point in my week is probably a good thing for me. ;)

With love in Christ,

Elaine

  1. So glad that the first bible study went well! I love attending women's bible studies. I get so much out of them. Having nothing to do is sometimes a GREAT thing. I love those days. Enjoy! :)
